CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO – DOLE MIMAROPA started to release the last wave of COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) financial assistance amounting to Php74,995,000.00 on 29 April 2020 benefitting 14,999 employees coming from 1,130 different establishments in the region.

Before celebrating this 2020 Labor Day, DOLE MIMAROPA exerted its effort to fast track the processing of final payment as each covered employee received one-time Php5,000.00 cash financial assistance thru money remittance center.

“Sobra po akong nagpapasalamat sa DOLE MIMAROPA at isa po ako sa nakatanggap ng cash assistance sa ilalim ng CAMP. Malaking tulong po ito sa aking pamilya. Maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo, God bless”, Jennilyn M. Tamares of Calapan City said as she gratefully received the financial assistance.

There are still many beneficiaries who also expressed their sincere gratitude to DOLE for CAMP is a great help in this time of need.

DOLE MIMAROPA Regional Director Albert E. Gutib commended the team as he said “Upon receiving the last tranche of budget, no time was wasted and we maximized our effort to deliver the awaited financial assistance for the covered affected workers. Currently, we are receiving positive feedbacks from them that make our effort paid off. Job well done!”

However, 5,879 remaining applications from establishments with 71,766 workers throughout the region can no longer be accommodated due to limited resources; a notice of non-accommodation was sent to the employers and further encourages them to apply the financial assistance of the Department of Finance (DOF) under its Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS).

“We are deeply saddened that there were establishments which were not accommodated by our CAMP financial assistance due to the Department’s limited budget but we are glad to announce that they could avail of the DOF’s SBWS”, Director Gutib said.

DOLE MIMAROPA had served a total of 16,708 workers from 1,230 establishments regionwide benefitting from CAMP financial assistance with an aggregate amount of Php83,540,000.00.
