BOAC, MARINDUQUE – To provide an opportunity for workers’ organization on systematic learning and growth aiming at greater productivity and strenthening the organization, Workers Organization Development Program (WODP) training was conducted last June 5, 2019 at Balar Events Place.
Before the start of the training, a message from Mr. Peter James D. Cortazar, Field Office Head of DOLE Marinduque, stressing that this training aims to develop more efficient and productive individuals who can effectively perform their vital roles and responsibilities in the community. Also, Mr. Cortazar emphasized that such activity is aligned with the liberating aspects of management by Filipino values for positive work attitude.
Ms. Maria Cielo O. Orilla, Labor and Employment Officer II, discussed topics on Entreprenurial Development wherein attendees learned with ample entreprenuerial skills that may help them in creating a livelihood opportunity in their community. Orientation on DOLE kabuhayan program was followed to familiarize them on the requirements as well as processes in availing livelihood grants from the department.
“Malaking tulong sa kagaya naming mga bagong tatag na organisayon ang ganitong klase ng training. Madami kaming natutunan at nalaman” (This training was a big help especially to newly organized association. We’ve learned a lot), said Mr. Bernardo Consejo of Samahan ng Magsasaka sa Matuyatuya.
Meanwhile, Board Director VI of RTWPB, Mr. Romeo E. Opis expounded his presentation on Productivity. Among of the topics were marketing, organization, stock control and bookeeping.
At the end of the training, 93 officers and members from various organization strongly manifested their appreciation to the resource speakers and DOLE Marinduque for the enthusiastic and fruitful learnings they have experienced.
