October 3, 2019, Odiongan, Romblon – In line with the Department of Labor and Employment’s mandate to promote and maintain the highest degree of physical, mental and social well-being of workers, Romblon Field Office in partnership with COSHEMAP, Inc. conducted a 40-hour Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Training from September 23 to 27, 2019. A total of 67 participants were trained and equipped with necessary knowledge and skills in implementation of OSH in the construction industry.

COSH training is a mandatory course for designated safety officers working in construction sites.

Every construction company must have trained Safety Officer/s to oversee safety and health concerns in the workplace. The said training tackles key OSH concepts, principles, practices and fundamental safety requirements in the construction industry. Latest issuances on OSH in the said industry were also discussed. Participants were also provided with tips on the development, customization and enhancement of the Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP).
